No serial # and no maker's mark. Appears to be made by Buckbee. Gorgeous wood veneer for peghead and fingerboard, also nice marquetry around bottom of pot. Some Fairbanks banjos has similar marquetry, but this isn't a Fairbanks. Has square nuts and uses nuts (not bolds or screws) to attach shoes to pot. Nut to 12th fret marker is 12 3/4", so the intended scale length is 25 1/2" Nice full rounded heel. No dowel yoke, uses screws through the pot into the heel. |
