Converted from tenor to
5-string by adding wing to both sides of neck, 1/4" fretless walnut
fingerboard on top of existing fingerboard, 1/4 in deep brass-floored
frailing scoop below octave, rosewood violin peg @ 5th fret, Nylgut
strings. Original hide head and tuners.
Setup:

= 2 in.
Bridge = 1 1/8 in.
action @ scoop
= 3/8 in

3/16 in.
This is currently my favorite
playing banjo. Also my first experiment with raising the fingerboard
so that the bridge is forced to be higher. This really worked... puts
more down-pressure bridge-to-head, good volume & tone. These are also
currently my favorite fretless setup dimensions.
